FIRE HYDRANT VALVES

A range of 65mm nominal diameter 'low pressure' fire hydrant landing valves suitable for both on and off-shore applications.  Constructed generally in accordance with BS5154 and BS5041 Part 1. D.O.T. approved (certified as acceptable for the purpose of compliance with the Merchant Shipping (Fire Protection) Regulations 1984). Primary shut-off is by RUBBER-to-METAL seating but the valves also incorporate a secondary METAL-to-METAL seating.  Corrosion resistant materials are used for long-life, durability and efficient service.  Body and top-cover in GUNMETAL BS1400 - LG2C.  Other principal working parts including spindle and valve assembly in MANGANESE BRONZE BS2874 - CZ114.  The valve is rubber faced for the primary shut-off.

INLET:-

As standard flanged 2 1/2" or 3" BS10 Table D or 65mm BS4504 Table 16.21

(Any other flanged or screwed inlet available on request).

OUTLET:-

Standard outlet is 2 1/2" female instantaneous BS336.

- other outlet connections are available on request.

(i.e. STORZ, N & S, ANSI, Gost, NOR, SMS, JIS etc.).

Blank caps/plugs are available for the valve outlets at extra cost. For the standard 2 1/2" female instantaneous BS336 outlet blank plugs are available in brass, gunmetal, plastic or rubber.
