A Vulcaniser developed for the repair of fire hose, with adjustable temperature set-point, allowing the vulcanisation/welding of all fire hose materials. Electronic temperature control, to within 1°C of set-point, and electronic timing give the operator total control over pre-heat, curing temperature and time. This ensures high quality, repeatable repairs and eliminates hose scorch.

Features: Disc Springs and Clamping Lever, allowing repeatable, easy and quick application of force to repair which remains constant throughout cure, despite any compression of the patch.
Temperature Controller: with digital display of platen temperature and easy adjustment of set-point.
Timer: Adjustable from 2 to 60 minutes, switches off heat after set time and sounds audible alarm.
Heating Unit Platen, heated by semi-conductor PTC element. These responsive elements reduce their power output as their temperature increases giving the benefits of short pre-heat time, long element life, minimal temperature over-shoot, and fail safe operation, the platen temperature will not exceed 190°C in the absence of any control. |
