the Paraguard Excel now features a U.V. stable, bright yellow finish.
For fast deployment speed links enable the stretcher to quickly unfold when removed from storage. The casualty is placed on foam filled pads, which are supported by parallel tubes. For improved patient care the head restraint features a non-slip neoprene design. High visibility flaps enclose the legs, arms, chest, thighs and lower legs. Iconic symbols located on the flaps enhance patient positioning. To improve use in the dark reflective strips have been added to the colour coded patient restraints. Easy-to-use elasticated holders neatly keep excess lengths of the restraints out of the way. For simple cleaning and enhanced infection control, the flaps are wipe-clean and the patient pads may be simply detached from the base. The Paraguard Excel may be carried using the four integral side carrying handles; these clip out of the way when not in use. Suitable for vertical or horizontal lifting the stretcher may be used for high building or helicopter rescues, using a four point lifting sling. When moving in awkward spaces the unique construction allows the centre of the Paraguard to unlock and bend. The stretcher may be comfortably carried in the updated back mounted valise.
